چکیده
The study area was selected in the Rupsha river basin and sediment samples were collected to determine trace metal concentrations of As, Pb, Cd, Cr along with biological effects, potential ecological human health hazards for adults children. metals detected from sixty composite using an Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS) following some sequential analytical procedures. mean organized descending order chromium (Cr) (43.2 mg/kg) > lead (Pb) (29.21 arsenic (As) (5.18 cadmium (Cd) (1.8 mg/kg). current highlighted that attributed riverine sediments natural sources other anthropogenic sources, particularly various industries. Based on effect-range classifications threshold effect concentration (TEC) probable (PEC), can impact sediment-dwelling organisms occasionally especially Cr, Pb. That is, had negative consequences aquatic creatures. assessed risk Cd offers a significant ecosystem, whereas low-risk. Most sites within range moderate risk, indicated by index (RI) values. Furthermore, applied quality indices, geo-accumulation ( I geo ) contaminated contamination factor (CF) denoted moderately polluted However, pollution load (PLI) revealed cumulative sence winter season. age-group (HI) much lower than limit 1, showing no non-carcinogenic effect. Total carcinogenic (TCR) less one-tenth percentile. For sake environmental health, proper monitoring element attribution strict regulation are required lessen pollution.

Background: This study aimed to evaluate the pollution levels of surface water with heavy metals including Pb, Cd and Cr in Gheshlagh River, western Iran. Methods: Water and sediment were sampled in five monitoring stations with three replicates in time along the river. The concentration of Cr, Pb and Cd in both water and sediment samples were measured with graphite furnace atomic absorption ...
متن کاملHuman Health Risk Assessment of Nitrate and Trace Metals Via Groundwater in Central Bangladesh
Groundwater plays a pivotal role as the largest potable water sources in Bangladesh. As agriculture is widely practiced in Bangladesh, potential nitrate (NO3¯) pollution may occur. Besides, excess amount of arsenic (As) has already been found in groundwater in many parts of Bangladesh including the present study area. Thus, this study was conducted to assess the NO3¯ status along with some trac...
